Solar Hot Water Rebate for flood closed

Applications under special provision solar hot water rebates for flood and cyclone must be lodged by 29 February 2012.
The special eligibility provisions for Queensland flood and cyclone victims to access the Queensland Government’s Solar Hot Water Rebate will no longer apply after 29 February 2012.
Under the special provisions, flood and cyclone damaged households which didn’t originally have an electric hot water system installed are able to apply for the rebate – $1000 for low income earners and pensioners and $600 for everyone else.
To be eligible for the special provisions rebate, applications must be submitted by 29 February 2012.
The most up-to-date versions of the ‘special provisions coversheet’ and ‘application and guideline’ are available online.
All householders replacing an electric water heater with a solar or heat pump system can continue to apply under the Queensland Government Solar Hot Water Rebate and to date more than 30,000 Queenslanders have taken advantage of this offer.
