Queensland Government Solar Bonus Scheme

This scheme pays eligible households and other small customers for the surplus electricity generated from solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, which is exported to the Queensland electricity grid.  The Solar Bonus of 44c/kWh will be paid for your surplus electricity fed into the grid at times when the solar system is producing more electricity than the household or business is using at any instant.  For more information regarding this scheme see www.cleanenergy.qld.gov.au/solar_bonus_scheme.cfm

Important:

• Some retailers enhance these payments (click here to see the ATA’s feed-in tariff schedule as at Sept 11).
• Recent change to this scheme limits the size of the PV system to 5kW (larger ones won’t qualify for the bonus – see details here).
