Generous State & Federal Government incentives are available now, but they won’t be around forever. Each year on 1 July the solar credit multiplier reduces by 1 until until it is phased out by 1 July 2013. In February 2012 the Federal Government closed its solar hot water rebate scheme early, and this year State Government legislation will begin the phase out of electric water heaters. Meanwhile the cost of electricity continues to climb.
So if considering a switch to solar, it would be wise to take advantage of the rebates and incentives while they are still available.
